A massive red barn dots the landscape of this gorgeous Montana property. The owners wanted to preserve this historic barn, but it was in need of some intensive restoration. Riverbend Builders focused on adding strength and stability to the existing structure and using reclaimed materials when possible on the build.

We dug out broken foundation walls and added a board formed concrete wall and sonotubes. Securing the walls required using come alongs to pull them together and then leaving them in place for ongoing support.  We propped up the north roof, used reclaimed posts and beams and repaired the floor sheathing on the upper level, as well as patching doors and windows so the building is more secure. We finished it off with a fresh coat of exterior paint.

Historic buildings always tell a story and this barn is full of them, we feel fortunate to have been able to help preserve this piece of Montana history.
